Three Levels Of Planning

You Choose The Level That Fits Your Family

Estate planning at O'Donnell Law Center is not “one size fits all” or “cookie cutter.”

We offer three levels of planning to suit your varying needs, and you get to choose the level of planning that best fits your family.

From starter plans designed primarily for young adults with no children and not much yet in the way of financial wealth or assets, to more robust plans for singles, parents and grandparents who have grown their families and careers and are now concerned with matters of transitioning their wealth and their legacy to the people and charities they love, we have you covered.

Personalized Service And Fees

We have priced our planning for you at the intersection of affordability and effectiveness.

Depending on your circumstances and goals, our fees range from $2,500 to $7,500, with our basic trust-based plan averaging $3,500 for a single person and $4,500 for a couple, and our basic will-based plan averaging $2,500 for a single person and $3,500 for a couple.

We provide comprehensive, curated trust-based plans, with a focus on serving primarily 55 to 79-year-old retirees and near-retirees, who have worked hard to acquire their assets, and are now at a stage in life to be enjoying their treasures and beginning to think about how they want to someday transition them to their adult children, grandchildren, and charity.

We have an established three-meeting process that starts with a no-obligation two-hour family wealth planning session, so I can learn about what you own, how you own it, who you love, and your family dynamics.  We discuss the planning you currently have in place (we often see planning that is old and outdated, or prepared in another state), and if you do not have your own planning in place, we look at the plan the state of Missouri has in place for you.  Next,  I help you look at and understand the outcome you and your family will have with the plan you have in place right now, and if you do not like that outcome, we will focus in on what you do not like about it and explore the planning options that will bring about the result you want.

Our second meeting is a signing ceremony where your legal documents come to life, and the third meeting is when you receive you estate planning portfolio and create a legacy video recording for your family where you can share a cherished memory or family story, leave a message for your future grandchildren and great-grandchildren, or discuss why you made the decisions that you did in your estate plan.

When we meet for your Family Wealth Planning Session, we will also review our three planning levels with you, and you will choose your own fee based on your budget and the planning goals that are most important to you and your family.

We do not provide the cheapest planning you can find, and if that is what you are looking for, you might consider reading up on it and doing it yourself online or looking for a documents-only attorney.
